Authorization Coordinator, my job consists of verifying insurance and benefit coverage for ABA services, review necessary documents received from intakes team prior to submitting authorizations, request missing documents, speak with caregiver to help solve discrepancies. Investigating denied claims, review approved authorization for accuracy/ input approved authorization in system. Communicate with various team members regarding current or prospective clients. Submit urgent feedback to the clinical team in relation to authorizations.
What drew you to Behavioral Framework?
I was looking to change jobs and wanted something that was more challenging. And a place where I could grow, that was family oriented.
What are the most rewarding parts of your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is getting approval for ABA services for our clients. And knowing that our clients will be receiving the services they need to become more independent.
What advice would you give to someone looking to pursue a role like yours? Are there specific character traits or skills/certifications they should possess?
Be open to change, willing to communicate to various leadership personnel, willing to go above the call of duty, and the knowledge of knowing when you are not within your scope of practice!
What do you like best about Behavioral Framework?
I like the people I work with; I like the fact I am not micro-managed, and when you least expect it, people recognize your hard work and dedication to what you do. My immediate team members are amazing, and we work together to insure we are providing the best outcome for the clients and their families.
